For Prospective Students

The lab is looking for motivated and enthusiastic students to join the group in the PhD or MSc programs. If you are interested in discovering the general principles underlying mechanical design in organisms, please contact Dr. Dan Dudek and provide information about your previous research experience and academic background, why you are interested in attending graduate school, and how you see our interests overlapping.

Students from a wide variety of academic backgrounds, from comparative biomechanics and physiology to mathematics and engineering, are encouraged to apply. Prospective students are also strongly encouraged to search through and apply for pre-doctoral fellowships to assist in funding their graduate careers.

For specific information about applying for graduate school at Virginia Tech, please see the graduate school's website.
